MM2 of The Monsters How to Become the Monster
Buy or unlock a body, learn Q, sweep lockers, and hunt a 30-player nest without missing the mobile attack cluster.
Becoming the monster in MM2 of The Monsters is a shop decision plus a control check, not a random murderer roll from Murder Mystery 2. The place is a free Roblox 1 vs All that launched on 28 August 2026. Up to 30 players share the nest. When you own a body and the round assigns you the hunter, your job flips from hiding to clearing lockers, vents, and under-floor rooms.
Read Getting Started if you still do not know where the shop is. Read the controls sheet if attacks do nothing. This page is the unlock path, the first hunt, and the mistakes that waste a paid Locust round. The Guides Hub indexes the survivor side.
Unlock a body before you expect a hunt
Open the shop from the lobby HUD. You will see creature bodies, a taser, a camera, and key bundles. Bodies are the hunter roster. The Locust — the headline monster after the Locust update — is commonly listed around 100 Robux. Other creatures cost keys. Believe the live listing, not a screenshot from launch week.
Keys come from the map, the shop, and codes when they exist. There are no active codes as of September 2026, but how to redeem codes is still the paste path. Do not dump a thousand keys into a body you have not compared. The monster roster lists what exists; the monster tier list ranks the spend; the Locust dossier is the page for the current star.
Owning a body does not mean every round is yours. The server still has to put you in the hunter slot. If you paid Robux and spawned as a survivor, hide that round, then hunt later. Chat does not queue the role faster.
First hunt: routes, not highlight swings
When the round starts on your body, you often get a short spawn or TV beat before you are fully in the nest. Use it to look at the floor plan, not to roar in place. Survivors scatter in the first ten seconds. Your first loop should be: main hall, ground-floor lockers, stairs, under-floor, then the vent line you can actually fit.
Check lockers. Players treat them as insta-win closets. Open them in order on the floor you are already clearing so you do not double back through a noisy stair. Peek vents and windows after the obvious rooms. Secret pockets and underground halls hide the last three survivors once the lobby is empty.
Do not tunnel the first scream. A loud group is easy; the quiet player in the far locker lasts the night. House-style layouts concentrate lockers; hotel-style floors stretch your rotate. Vote the shape you already hunt well.
Attacks, Q, and mobile buttons
The regular attack is the melee swing. The special is often Q on keyboard. Q is for a room clear, a stuck survivor, or a window camper — not for spawn dancing. If Q does nothing, you are still on survivor binds, you are in a spawn lock, or that body uses a different special. Stop, look at the prompts, then swing again.
Mobile and tablet hunters miss kills because the attack cluster is not the survivor HUD. After you become the monster, extra buttons appear. If taps move the camera but never hit, you have not found them yet. Look at the right-side actions and test the special once on empty space. Console players should open the in-game control list; this wiki will not invent glyphs Roblox has not published for the place.
A stunned hunter is a wasted five seconds. Survivors buy tasers for a reason. If you eat a stun in a doorway, back off the threshold so they cannot slide into a vent you just ignored. Camera flashes are information; assume they know your facing and change floors.
Spend, rotate, end the round
Keys you earn as a hunter still buy survivor tools for the next night you lose the role. Keep a taser on the account. Rank those buys on the item tier list. Patch changes to the Locust kit are on the Locust update page.
Survivors who last will use How to Survive the Locust and the pockets on Best Hiding Spots. Hunt as if they read those pages: check the second locker, not the first, and cut the vent they sprint toward after a stun.
End a hunt by clearing space, not by farming the last camper for an entire night. Sweep lockers, vents, and the underground once more, use Q to break a hold, then rotate. A clean first hunt is a full floor plan plus a body you can actually attack with. If the special never fired, the failure was the HUD — fix it on controls before you buy a second creature.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for survivors and hunters in MM2 of The Monsters.
How do I unlock the Locust?
Buy or unlock it in the shop. It is often listed around 100 Robux. Other bodies cost keys. Details on the creature itself are in the Locust dossier.
Do I become the monster every round after I pay?
No. Owning a body makes you eligible. The server still assigns the hunter slot. If you spawn as a survivor, play that round and hunt later.
What is the monster special?
On PC it is often Q. Regular attack is a separate melee input. Mobile uses extra on-screen buttons that only appear after you are the monster. See the controls sheet.
Where should I look first as the hunter?
Ground-floor lockers, then stairs, under-floor rooms, and vents. Survivors park in the spots listed on Best Hiding Spots.
Which monster should I buy if not the Locust?
Compare the monster roster with the monster tier list before you spend a large key pile on a weak body.
Why can I not attack on mobile?
You are probably still looking at the survivor overlay. Find the extra attack cluster after the role swap. If binds still fail, use Getting Started to confirm you are in the live forzik221 place, then re-read controls.
